Editorial style

Your family

Editorial is a global style for iNiR. It gives the shell paper-like surfaces, a strong focal card, large headlines and small, quiet labels. It works with Material and Waffle.

  • Material: SettingsThemesStyleGlobal Style, then pick Editorial.
  • Waffle: Waffle SettingsThemesGlobal Style, then pick Editorial. Waffle keeps its own layouts and takes Editorial’s colours and type.

Once Editorial is the global style, its editor appears under SettingsThemesStyleEditorial. Waffle uses the same values, so tune them there.

At the top of the editor, a preset sets many options at once:

  • Poster uses bold sans headlines.
  • Studio is compact and quiet. It adds the second paper layer and a paper tint in your primary colour, with smaller headlines and corners.
  • Reading uses serif headlines, with a little more space and rounder corners.

Reset Editorial puts everything back to the defaults: one sheet of paper that follows your theme.

Under Material:

  • Paper mode picks Follow theme, Light paper or Charcoal.
  • Paper pigment picks Neutral, Primary, Secondary, Tertiary or Custom. The theme colours change with your theme. Custom stays fixed.
  • Paper tint sets how strongly the pigment colours the paper and the highlighted cards. Paper warmth warms the sheet.
  • Second paper layer adds a backing sheet under the main surfaces, and Layer depth sets how far it shows. Small controls stay flat.
  • Glass background frosts the wallpaper behind the paper. Paper opacity and Backdrop blur set how much of it shows through.

Under Voice & ink:

  • Poster sans or Reading serif picks the headline face.
  • Title scale sizes headings. Body text does not change.
  • Headline weight and Headline tracking set how heavy and how spaced headings are.
  • Label weight and Metadata tracking set the small labels and captions.
  • Accent pigment picks where highlights come from: Primary, Secondary, Tertiary or Custom.
  • Accent intensity moves from neutral ink to richer, theme-coloured highlights and selection fields.

Under Composition:

  • Spacing sets the gaps between sections and cards.
  • Corner radius rounds cards and compact controls together.
  • Editorial motion scales animation speed. Reduced motion still wins.
  • Flower accents shows the small Flower mark at a few spots. Turn it off to hide them.

Settings can open as an Editorial page too. Turn on SettingsModulesSettings UIOverlay mode (live preview), then choose Overlay layout › Editorial. It keeps the same pages and search.
